When you arrive, a guide who speaks English will be there to meet you outside of Customs. They will have a sign with your name on it. The guide will show you where to go to meet your private driver and vehicle. They will also go with you to your accommodation to help you check in.

Starting at Malecon 2000, the revitalized boardwalk by the Guayas River, you'll explore Guayaquil city with a personal guide. From Malecon 2000, you can see the city's famous monuments, museums, gardens, and fountains. En route, you'll visit La Rotonda, a monument honoring Jose de San Martin and Simon Bolivar, who fought against Spanish rule. Driving along Avenida 9 de Octubre, you'll experience the city's vibrant atmosphere. Afterward, you'll go to Guayaquil Historical Park to learn about the city's culture, customs, and history. After a dry landing, a bus in Puerto Ayora will take you to the Santa Cruz Highlands. Here, you will visit a natural reserve for giant land tortoises, fascinating creatures that can live for up to 200 years, in the endemic Scalesia forest. You will also have the opportunity to explore lava tunnels, formed by volcanic eruptions over millennia. This unique experience is a great way to conclude your expedition.

Genovesa Island, commonly known as Bird Island, is a paradise for birders and nature enthusiasts. It is home to an array of bird species such as puffball chicks, white, yellow-crowned, and lava herons, as well as red-footed and Nazca boobies. The island also hosts the world's only nocturnal gull, the swallow-tailed gull, which nests on the cliffs. To explore this incredible island, you will have a dry landing at Prince Philip's Steps and climb an 81-foot stairway to reach a plateau offering breathtaking views of Darwin Bay. After lunch, you will continue your journey through a flat trail that meanders through mangroves and saltbush, where you can spot red-footed boobies and great frigatebirds.

Today, we visited Dragon Hill on Santa Cruz Island. Whether it was a dry or wet landing depended on the conditions. We started by hiking along a rocky trail and soon reached a pond inhabited by flamingos. From the top of Dragon Hill, we enjoyed magnificent views of the bay. The vegetation here was fascinating, especially the Palo Santo trees which change with the climate and attract various bird species. In the afternoon, we explored Santa Fe, the oldest island in the archipelago. This uninhabited island is home to a high percentage of endemic species like the Santa Fe Marine Iguana and Santa Fe Mockingbird. We began with snorkeling in the turquoise waters, encountering sea lions, turtles, and spotted eagle rays. After a wet landing, we embarked on a hike through Opuntia cacti, hoping to spot unique animals such as Galapagos hawks and Santa Fe rice rats.

Start your day with a damp landing at Bachas Beach, where you can enjoy swimming, take a leisurely walk along the shore, and explore the lagoon behind the high tide line, home to various bird species, iguanas, and occasionally flamingos.
