When you arrive at the airport, you will be greeted by an English speaking assistant holding a sign with your name on it. The assistant will help you find your private driver and take you to your accommodation. You will also receive a Welcome Package with all the necessary documents and tickets for your trip.

Obidos, a charming town located one hour outside of Lisbon, is a romantic, medieval place with rolling hills, vineyards, and an ancient castle. The castle walls surround the entire town and stretch for almost one mile. Obidos is known as an authentic living museum and one of Portugal's most beautiful villages. The town square houses the impressive church of Santa Maria, which has a remarkable collection of glazed tiles and paintings. Explore the narrow streets and you may catch a whiff of the cherry liquor called Ginjinha, offered in a chocolate cup behind some doors. Before heading back to Lisbon, make sure to visit Obidos Castle and enjoy the breathtaking views of the fertile fields.

LISBON TO PORTO TO DOURO RIVER CRUISE

Embark on a private transfer to Porto with a 2-hour stop at Coimbra, offering various sites to explore. Visit archaeological ruins from the Roman period and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the 13th century university. Enjoy lunch at your leisure or immerse yourself in the city's ambiance. Afterward, the journey continues to Porto.

Today, you can participate in on board activities like traditional tile painting or just relax while your luxurious Scenic Ship sails to Regua. In the morning, explore the charming village of Lamego with its impressive Baroque architecture, including the intricate Shrine of Our Lady of Remedies. Alternatively, take a guided tour of the iconic Mateus Palace, surrounded by stunning gardens and featuring a chapel and vineyard. Today, you have two options for your adventure. The first is to cross the Spanish border and discover the marvelous city of Salamanca. After a guided tour, you will have free time to further explore on your own.

Alternatively, you can choose to visit the medieval Portuguese village, Freixo de Espada a Cinta. Here, you can take a guided tour and visit their unique silk museum. It is worth noting that this village is the only place where handcrafted silk is still made entirely by hand.

POCINHO TO DOURO RIVER CRUISE

Today, you can choose between two activities: visiting the Coa Valley Museum and participating in a pre-historic workshop, or going on a canoeing excursion along the Sabor River. If you prefer a culinary experience, you can join the ‘Tastes of the Coa Valley’ excursion and visit Casa Painova, where you can try some of the local produce like jams, marmalades, and sugared almonds.

PINHAO TO PORTO TO DOURO RIVER CRUISE

Today, explore the unique village of Provesende, where you can discover the traditional way of life and visit the local bakery. This exclusive experience is specially designed for Scenic guests. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to attend a recital at the church and taste wine at Morgadio da Calcada, a restored manor house.

In the afternoon, you will visit Guimaraes, a city known for its well-preserved medieval architecture and its connection to the first King of Portugal. The highlight of the city is the impressive Ducal Palace, built in the 10th century and situated on a hilltop. From there, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the city. Alternatively, you can opt for a tasting at Quinta da Aveleda, a charming property in the famous Vino Verde region. Say goodbye to the crew and leave the cruise ship this morning. Meet your guide and driver at your hotel for a full day tour to learn about and visit the region where Portugal was born in the 12th century. The first stop is Guimaraes, a city known for its role in the birth of the Portuguese nation. Marvel at the medieval Palace of the Dukes and the 10th century castle. After a tour, travel to Braga, known for its three sanctuaries. Explore the streets and admire the palace. At the end of the day, return to your Porto hotel.

You will be assigned a private driver for your airport transfer. It is important to note that the drivers' main task is to transport clients, so they may or may not speak English.
