Your guide will meet you outside customs with a sign bearing your name. They will help you find your private driver and take you to your hotel. This transfer includes an English-speaking guide.

Day 2

BEIJING

Experience a day exploring three famous sites in Beijing with a private guide and driver. Start at Tiananmen Square, a historic square with significant landmarks. Cross the street to enter the Forbidden City, a massive palace complex with preserved ancient structures. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Then, visit the Temple of Heaven, a peaceful UNESCO World Heritage Site surrounded by gardens. Take in the magnificent buildings and observe locals practicing Tai Chi. It is important to wear comfortable shoes and protect yourself from the sun during the tour.

Day 3

BEIJING

Explore two visually captivating sites in Beijing with a private guide and driver. Start your day at the Summer Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with temples, pavilions, and halls set in a beautiful park. The Long Corridor, adorned with lavish paintings, is a must-see.

Next, drive to the awe-inspiring Mutianyu section of the Great Wall, located 45 miles northeast of the city. This well-preserved section spans 1.4 miles along cragged mountains and holds a prominent place in Chinese military history. Enjoy the lush ecosystem and panoramic views of the forested hills. Take a cable car to the top of the hillside to explore the 26-foot-high granite walls and the 22 watchtowers.

Have lunch at a local restaurant near the Great Wall. If time permits, stop for a quick photo at the 2008 Olympic sites of the Bird's Nest and Water Cube along the drive.

Note: Today’s tour involves walking at a leisurely pace. Comfortable walking shoes and sun protection are recommended.

BEIJING TO XI'AN

Experience a hassle-free transfer with a knowledgeable English-speaking guide from the train station to your hotel. Travel comfortably from Beijing to Xi'an in about 6 hours on the high-speed bullet train.

Day 5

XI'AN

Xi'an is home to the famous Terracotta Warriors, a remarkable discovery made in 1974. You will have a private driver and English-speaking guide to take you to visit the Terracotta Warriors, the Ancient City Wall, and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. The Terracotta Warriors consist of over 7000 unique figures of soldiers, archers, horses, and chariots, all guarding Emperor Qin's tomb since 210 BC. Ongoing excavation and repair work can be seen in three pits, protected inside large hangars.

After a local lunch, you will return to the city center to explore the Ancient City Wall. This well-preserved defense structure, built in the 13th century, surrounds the city center and offers a full 8.5-mile circuit for walking, biking, or taking an electric cart. The wall provides stunning views of the city and is accompanied by a moat. Lastly, you will visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, an important Buddhist site located within the beautiful Da Ci'en Temple. The pagoda was built in the 7th century to house Buddhist materials brought back from India by Xuanzang. The temple complex features impressive Buddhist statues and murals. At the end of the day, you will be transported back to your hotel by private vehicle.

XI'AN TO CHENGDU

Embark on a 4-hour journey from Xi'an to Chengdu, utilizing the high-speed bullet train.

The restaurant, located in a renovated Shikumen style house, offers cuisine from neighboring Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces. After dinner, drive to the theater and settle into your seats with the assistance of your guide. The performance showcases traditional Chinese acrobatic arts with stunning costumes, modern technology, and original live music. The acrobats undergo years of rigorous training, some starting as young as six or seven years old. Many performers have over 20 years of experience. After the unforgettable performance, return to your hotel by private vehicle.

SHANGHAI

Spend the day exploring Shanghai's must-see sites with your private guide and driver. Start by admiring the contrast between traditional Chinese elements and the rapidly evolving skyline along the Huangpu River. The Oriental Pearl Tower, surrounded by the Yangpu Bridge and the Nanpu Bridge, creates a striking image of 'twin dragons playing with pearls'. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Shanghai Tower and Shanghai World Financial Center, as well as colonial European-inspired buildings across the river, from atop this 1,535-foot tall tower.
