This policy covers the cost of an evacuation flight back to Nairobi for treatment. However, it does not cover the cost of any medical treatment received. In the morning, meet your guide and travel to the Masai Mara, which takes approximately six hours. Choose between heading directly into the park for game viewing and then checking in late at the camp, or checking in first and then going for an afternoon game drive. Please note that half of the drive will be on paved roads and the other half will be on rough and bumpy roads.

While exploring the region, your guide will take you to nearby watering holes where you may spot numerous birds and mammals, including, if you're lucky, the elusive leopard. After an exhilarating afternoon game drive, return to your lodge in time to freshen up for a delicious safari dinner.

Start your day bright and early with an exciting wildlife adventure alongside a skilled tracker-guide in the Masai Mara Game Reserve. The African Big 5, including the lion, leopard, rhinoceros, Cape buffalo, and African elephant, await your discovery as you explore the reserve. Originally coined by hunters, the term "Big 5" now represents the preservation and protection of these magnificent creatures. Besides these iconic animals, the reserve is also home to a diverse range of bird and wildlife species such as hyenas, gazelles, impalas, giraffes, zebras, vultures, cranes, eagles, falcons, and ostriches.

The Masai Mara Game Reserve was named after the Masai people and the Mara River. Your tracker-guide will help you find the best spots along the river to see animals. Keep your camera ready for opportunities to photograph elephants and hippos.

Go on a game drive this afternoon with your guide in the Masai Mara Game Reserve. The park is one of the few places in Africa where you can see free roaming rhinos. There are only 4,000 black rhinos left on the continent, so your guide will take you to places where rhino sightings have been reported.

Start your journey from the Masai Mara Game Reserve toward the Isebania border crossing, driving through the scenic Kenyan countryside and passing towns and villages. Keep in mind that this part of the drive may be lengthy due to the condition of the dirt road, especially during rainy seasons. However, in dry seasons, you can reach the border in approximately two hours.

Upon arrival at the Isebania Border Crossing, you will switch to a Tanzanian vehicle and continue your safari with a Tanzanian guide. Tanzanian Visas can be obtained at the border for $100 USD (for US citizens) or $50 USD (for other nationalities). It is important to note that the Visas must be paid in USD and cash. Additionally, make sure to have your Yellow Fever certification ready for crossing. The Single Entry Visa is valid for three months and allows multiple entries into Kenya and Tanzania.

Once you have cleared the Isebania Border Crossing, your safari will continue to the Serengeti National Park. The journey to the park will consist of both paved highway and bumpy dirt road sections. The travel time to reach the Serengeti varies between three and five hours, depending on the condition of the roads. As you approach the Serengeti National Park, keep your camera ready and enjoy a game drive upon entering the park as you make your way to your lodge or camp.

The Olduvai Gorge, also known as "The Cradle of Mankind," is a massive ravine that stretches for 30 miles and is the result of natural erosion over millions of years. It is located in the eastern Serengeti plains and cuts through the Great Rift Valley in eastern Africa. The gorge is named after the Sansevieria-Ehrenbergii plant, commonly known as Olduvai, which grows abundantly in the area and is used by the Masai people for various purposes. While staying in the Ngorongoro region, you have the option to participate in various activities. Accompanying you today on your exploration of Ngorongoro National Park will be an experienced tracker-guide and a private vehicle. Today is the perfect opportunity to discover the incredible Ngorongoro Crater, one of Tanzania's most remarkable wildlife conservation areas. You will depart from your camp in a privately driven vehicle, accompanied by a local expert guide. Together, you will make your way to the park entrance, and then continue driving for around 20 minutes until you reach the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. This crater is the largest inactive, intact, and unfilled volcanic caldera in the world, formed by a massive explosion that caused the volcano to collapse inward. The result is a massive crater that is roughly 12 miles wide and about 2,000 feet deep. It takes approximately 45 minutes by vehicle to descend from the rim to the crater floor. The crater floor is incredibly fertile, which has attracted a dense population of wildlife. Currently, there are over 25,000 large animals living in the crater, including some of the last remaining black rhinos in the world. The crater is also home to some of the highest concentrations of carnivores, such as lions, hyenas, cheetahs, and jackals. Your guide will take you from Ngorongoro to Arusha, a journey lasting about two hours and 30 minutes. After that, you can catch a flight from Arusha to Zanzibar, which typically takes one hour and 40 minutes.

It is important to be aware of the strict luggage restrictions for this flight. Each person is allowed a maximum weight of 66 lbs (30 kg), and the baggage must be soft-shelled.

Once you arrive in Zanzibar, you will be transferred to your hotel from the airport in a private vehicle with a driver.

This area is brimming with relics from the 17th and 18th centuries, and you will have the chance to explore notable sites such as the former Slave Market, the Anglican Cathedral, the House of Wonders, the Sultans' Palace Museum, the Old Arab Fort, and the Old Dispensary. After the tour, you will be returned to your accommodations. Don't forget to bring sunscreen, comfortable walking or hiking shoes, and a sun hat. It's worth noting that transit time to and from your accommodation can range from 30 to 90 minutes depending on its location.

A private vehicle with a driver will transport you between the airport and your hotel.

Please be aware that all guests visiting the island of Zanzibar are required to pay a Departure Tax of $49 USD per person on-site. Additionally, hotels will charge an Infrastructure Tax of $5 USD per person, per day, which must also be paid on-site before departing the island.

To travel from Zanzibar to Dar Es Salaam, you can take a flight with an approximate duration of 20 minutes.
