The guide will be holding a sign with your name on it and will assist you in finding your transportation to the hotel. To gain a deeper understanding of Santiago, studying its historical development is essential. The tour begins with a drive to Santa Lucia Hill, also known as Huelen in the native aboriginal dialect. This hill gained popularity thanks to Spanish conqueror Pedro Valdivia, who founded the city and named it Santiago de Nueva Extremadura in honor of the apostle Santiago, the patron Saint of Spain. Next, the Plaza de Armas (Main Square) will be visited, as it is the central point of the city's earliest urbanization. Today, the square is home to the Cathedral, main post office, National Historic Museum, and Municipalidad de Santiago (city council). Continuing the tour, the Pre-Colombino Art Museum, founded by Sergio Larraín García-Moreno and the Municipality of Santiago over three decades ago, will be explored. Plaza de la Constitución Square will be wandered through, and the La Moneda Government Palace will be seen, showcasing the city's historical milestones from independence to the present day. This morning, you will be taken from your hotel for a private tour of two renowned vineyards in Casablanca: Bodegas Re, known for its innovative wine making, and Casas del Bosque, which focuses on traditional practices.

At Bodegas RE, your guided tour will take you through the balsamic and artisanal fruit-liquor rooms, the clay vessel cellar, and include six wine tastings. These tastings will feature RE Pinotel, RE Chardonnoir, RE Syranoir, RE Syragnan, RE Cabergnan, and Lomajes de Viña Roja (Carignan). The day starts with a hotel lobby meeting in the Viña del Mar & Valparaiso area. After getting in your private vehicle, you'll drive north along the coast, passing the Mantagua Dune Field and beautiful beaches and resort towns.
