Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your private driver and vehicle for your airport transfer. Additionally, an English-speaking assistant will be present at your hotel lobby to guide you through your welcome package documents and assist with hotel check-in, if needed. Included in the Welcome Package are all necessary documents and tickets for your trip.

Day 2

BARCELONA

Embark on a half-day walking tour of Old Barcelona's historic Gothic Quarter. Visit Roman remains and medieval palaces in the heart of the city. See medieval Roman walls and towers, explore the narrow stone alleyways of the old Jewish Quarter, and visit the governmental square Plaça de Sant Jaume. Also, visit the Casa de l'Ardiaca, a 15th-century residence, and the Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar, a 14th-century Gothic Art masterpiece. Take a taxi to Antoni Gaudi's iconic Sagrada Familia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site still being constructed after 100 years. This Roman Catholic church is the world's largest unfinished church and has a unique style. A taxi will take you back to your hotel, but you can choose to explore further on your own.

Day 3

BARCELONA

You will meet your private driver and guide for a half-day tour of the Catalunya countryside to Montserrat, a sacred mountaintop monastery. Montserrat, located about an hour outside of Barcelona, has been a significant pilgrimage site in Spain for almost 1,000 years. It is also the home of approximately eighty Benedictine monks. During the tour, you will explore the monasterial complex and visit a Renaissance Basilica from the 16th century. One of the main attractions is the 12th-century carving of the Black Madonna, who is the Patron Saint of Catalunya. The Monastery of Montserrat, situated on a protruding rock, provides breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

Day 4

BARCELONA

Learn how to cook traditional Spanish dishes like paella, gazpacho, and tapas with an English-speaking chef. Start with a walking tour of La Boqueria market, where the chef will provide tips on choosing fresh, local ingredients. Then, head to the kitchen to prepare your own meal with the chef's guidance. Finally, enjoy your creations with Spanish wine.
